My latest purchase of minis is the whole undead enchilada of the FU!UK winners and finalist entries.

These minis are so detailed and cool looking that I just had to get them...

Jawaballs contest: update

This was my entry for the Jawaballs contest.
Unfortunately I didn't make it to the final. Some of those other entries where just amazing.


Now I just need to paint the rest of the Space Hulk miniatures.

Jawaballs contest

I've just submitted my entry to the Jawaballs painting competition. I've painted brother Leon from Space Hulk.

I will post a pic of the submitted miniature as soon as the competition is closed. This is what he looks unpainted.

Reaper wizard & dragon

I'm painting some miniatures for the excellent game Dungeon Quest!

I haven't painted much fantasy previously, but here are the first minis; a wizard and a dragon from Reaper Miniatures. The dragon eggs are from Mega Miniatures.

For you scale fanatics, I can say that the wizard is more like 32mm than 28mm. This actually bothers me a lot, but all but one of the minis I'll use for this game is in this scale, so... *shrug*

I'm a winner!

The other day I was checking out Dawn of the Lead. It just so happens that the owner (Mikko) just got some of his own zombie sculpts "published". To top things off he's giving away some of those minis, and I'm one of the lucky winners. Thanks! I'm looking forward to painting it. =)

I've also decided to participate in Jawaballs Blood Angels painting competition. I'll participate with a Space Hulk terminator. I was going to paint my Space hulk miniatures anyway. The contest will just be a fun bonus.

EM-4 NBC suits

Here are som really cool soldiers in NBC suits from EM-4. I'm very pleased with the finished results. They will make excellent additions to any zombie game.

Reaper mermaid

Here is a nice mermaid miniature from Reaper. I'm not actually planning on using it in any game. I just fell in love with the sculpt and wanted to paint it. =)

Zombies from Cold War miniatures + Wargames Factory

The sixth batch of zombies from Cold War miniatures.











These zombies are from Wargames Factory. The one to the left is a conversion, where I've added a torn off arm to the hand of the zombie.

Wargames Factory + Hero Clix

I ordered some new zombies from Wargames Factory. After reading a review about them, I decided to try them out for myself. They have great variation BUT, and this is a biggie for me... Unfortunately they lack that extra detail that I've gotten used to from other brands like Cold War, Reaper or Games Workshop. Plenty more of these will come up as they get finished.

The spiderman zombie is a Wizkid Hero Clix mini, which I just had to have when I saw it on eBay. I rebased it to match my other zombies.

Horror Clix aliens + terrain

Some Horror Clix Aliens from Wizkid, together with some unknown resin terrain. I have 21 alien drones and one queen. The alien drones will eventually be rebased.

This is the first batch of painted miniature zombies. I ordered them from Cold War Miniar in UK. They where quick to dispatch and the minis looks great.

Horror Clix conversion

I picked this up off eBay. It's a Wizkid Horror Clix Alien Queen + Egg Hive. It's pretty cool, but the paint job on the scenery is just hideous... I decided to do something about it. The first two pictures is the original hive and queen. Notice how the alien eggs looks like rose flowers. Obviously that had to be changed!















I did some basing and painted the floor and eggs. I used a wash on the cocoon and the stone columns, to give them a less cartoonish look. I left the queen untouched. The following pictures show the result:

Warhammer space marines

Here are some Space Marines from Warhammer, painted in a Dark Angels colors. They're probably not true to the color scheme, but who cares...

This is a Space Marine casualty, together with some CAT:s "converted" from some Epic Armageddon vehicles.
If you can call adding some antennas a conversion...











All these minis will be used in the excellent game Space Hulk.

Warhammer terminators

Here are some Terminators from Warhammer, painted in a Blood Angels colors. They are battle weary and have scratches. The flamer already had a bad paint-job, and I didn't bother to strip it prior to painting it. This resulted in some poor detail on that particular weapon.
